"Mori Shej, Sabina (My Daughter, Sabina)" is a beautiful interpretation of what could be considered a Gipsy lullaby. It is an original compositions written by one member of the group for his infant child. "You are only just one year old / Little, tiny dear daughter / You are chattering at me / I'll buy some gold jewels for you / All the gold jewels of the world." It is worth mentioning that under the Hapsburgs, edicts were issued to force the Hungarian Roma to settle and intermarry, as well as to give up all children over the age of five to be raised as non-Roma. These edicts failed. Not only were the Roma (and the Hungarians) intractable, but most of the children ran away and found their families again.
